Someone close to Craig Berube explained what exactly happened in his mysterious gym accident

A friend of Craig Berube reveals the details of the Toronto Maple Leafs coach shocking head gash.
Social media was shocked by the new look of Craig Berube earlier this week that took many to be stunned.
Berube wasn't debuting any fashion, but sporting grotesque injuries.
Berube had a visible scar on his forehead along with a black eye, injuries that he shared to have come from a freak accident while working out.
In the games following, Berube's injury went from a Gorbachev-like cut to a full-headed wound, extending the entirety of the forehead.
It has since been revealed the extent of Berube's injuries, and the gruesome details that caused the shocking visible mark.
Craig Berube's injury revealed as gym workout mishap
In what was already known to be gym related, Derek Settlemyre of the 'Nasty Knuckles" podcast, a friend of Berube, spoke to the Leafs head coach to get to the details of the story.
He was actually an accident, and there he's doing the press....I guess, the bar, you know, it came down and got him.
But I said "Did it peel your forehead, the way the cut is, did it flap down?
"Oh yeah", he goes, the weight, the force of the bar, and I'm like there must have, but you know when you're you're blood pumping, and you get hit, you bleed like crazy, and uh, he said, his blood, oh man.

Berube is no stranger to intensity and bruises.
One of the most feared enforcers in NHL history before his coaching days, Berube remains seventh all time in penalty minutes with 3149, but with his share of bruisers it may be the rare time it came off the ice.
