Big revelation by Nicolas Aube-Kubel on the Toronto Maple Leafs
Washington Capitals forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel was interviewed by the guys at The Blue Pocket this week and he made a shocking revelation.
The unrestricted free agent this summer received a call from Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe to convince him to sign with the team and that he was going to put him on a third line.
But it didn't work out the way he thought it would:
"[Two days after] they signed me, they signed Calle Jarnkrok, another right winger. He's a really good player. When I came [to camp], he was the one playing on the third line, he had the power play.
I didn't get any shorthanded time, I played on the fourth line.

Finally, after six games with the Leafs, he was placed on waivers and claimed by the Washington Capitals.
