It is no secret that some teams are trying to tank for Connor Bedard.

One of these teams is the Chicago Blackhawks, who traded Alex DeBrincat and Kirby Dach in order to go after Connor Bedard.

Despite their teams' best efforts, some players aren't committed to the tank.

Players are wired to win, and in the case of the Chicago Blackhawks, two players weren't afraid to speak out against their management.

Seth Jones was a massive bring-in by the Hawks, costing them picks, prospects, and $76-million. He decided to explain his view on the tank:

That's why we play the game, right? We're trying to win every game we play. We've got to control what we can control in here, and obviously the front office, they control that.

He was then joined by Mackenzie Entwhistle, who, granted, probably wouldn't even be in the NHL if it weren't for the tank:

No, no, definitely not. Your goal is to win the Stanley Cup. Where we pick and stuff, that's something that we can't control. Every single guy in here doesn't want to lose. If you get the first-overall pick, chances are you lost and you had a pretty bad year. So every guy in this room wants to win. The higher we place, the better for us.

Whether the Blackhawks miraculously become unbeatable and win the cup, or, they more likely end up at the bottom of the pack with good odds for the lottery, this season won't be for nothing.
