Coming into camp, many hockey fans had their sights set on the Leafs young prospects.
Guys like Matthew Knies, who performed well in his debut last season in the playoffs, or new prospect Eastan Cowan, the Leafs first-rounder in last year's NHL draft.
While these two have performed well at camp, eyes are now on the Leafs' other 19-year-old prospect, Fraser Minten.
Minten has been playing above his pay grade this training camp and has earned a stay into the latter half of camp.

Minten an Unexpected Performer On the Ice and Off
Not many people thought that Minten would be in the running for a roster spot with the Leafs this season, given their depth of prospects and talent. However, his performance on the ice has been outstanding, and he has shown he can compete in the NHL.
Minten is also a performer off the ice, as he is a classically trained pianist. His junior teammates reportedly love him for his off-ice hobbies.
