Ottawa Senators fans weren't too pleased getting knocked out by their provisional rivals, and had a very particular chant they bellowed out as they left in defeat.

Tough loss for Ottawa on Thursday night as the young playoff team was eliminated (finally) by the Maple Leafs after the heroicss of Max Pacioretty and a two-goal performance from William Nylander. Granted, the Sens gave it all they could but it was the more experienced blue and white who skated away with the win.
Fans certainly weren't happy given how well the Senators had played in Games 4 and 5, and there was a legitimate chance they could have extended things a bit longer. That clearly didn't happen, and the drive home from the Canadian Tire Centre was no doubt a miserable experience.
But it didn't stop them from being a bit cheeky, and had a warning message to the Maple Leafs as they left the building: They're definitely cheering for Florida.
Echoing the halls of the Canadian Tire Centre rang out jeers of "Let's Go Florida" which not only is a pretty obvious conclusion given how much hatred there is between the clubs, but it rivals the Maple Leafs' chant of "We Want Florida" which turned out to be an unmitigated disaster.

Toronto Needs To Take Advantage Of Passionate Fans To Help Defeat Florida

It's not the first time that fans have been the center of controversy though. At the beginning of the series there was a lot of attempts to keep Maple Leafs fans out of the building when Games 3 and 4 occurred, and it seemed that they did a fairly good job of it too.
Not to mention that attempt to keep out Leafs fans included a call to arms to not resell tickets, and felt like you had to sneak a blue jersey underneath some red, gold, and black in order to get in.
The good thing about things is that Toronto is headed back home where the crowd will be a bit more receptive to them, however will need to deal with a notoriously loud Florida crowd who while not the biggest attendance draw in the league, has some of the most passionate fans.
It used to be that Tampa Bay and Florida were just full of snowbirds who decided to catch a taste of what they miss back home, but with the success of both teams over the years, they have a devoted homegrown following too.
But one thing remains when it comes to Ottawa and Toronto. The Maple Leafs are headed to the second round; the Senators are headed to the golf course.
Fans may want Florida to win, but if the Senators made it through...do you really think they have a better chance than Toronto?
