The Toronto Maple Leafs made another move to bring in a young prospect, signing London Knights star Landon Sim.

With the Maple Leafs firmly set for a potentially long playoff run, there's always for that needs to be done in terms of next season's roster. Still needing to figure out a few free agent signings come summer, it's not going to be easy.
The team has done well to stock up their farm system in the recent months, adding a lot of NCAA and junior players in the hopes of finding the next big star. It also helps recoup what they lost at the trade deadline.

Landon Sim An Underrated Signing

It seems though that Toronto wasn't impressed with only Easton Cowan's season in London, as the team announced they are signing Landon Sim to a one-year deal.
Sim has 11 points in 12 games so far in the playoffs, and is building off a 53-point campaign that also came with a whopping 105 PIM.
Scoring 30 goals this season for the Knights, Sim joins the likes of Cowan, Luke Haymes, and Borya Valis as some serious offensive threats for the future Maple Leafs.
He'll get a chance to join the Marlies and find his game in the AHL if nothing else, which will definitely lead to a potential call up or bigger role down the line.
He's only 20 years old, and scooping him up is another savvy Brad Treliving acquisition.
Not afraid to drop the gloves, he may be a bit smaller than your typical signing with the new management; but that doesn't mean he won't be physical.
The son of former NHL player Jon Sim, Landon might have a much higher upside than his father, and if he keeps up his progress will no doubt surpass the 12-year career of his dad.
Also there's a potential to play with Cowan again, and if the two can find some chemistry together, they could both blossom in to steady and reliable contributors for years to come.
Congratulations Landon, you've almost made it to the big time. Now go out there and show them what you've got.
