Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig has spoken on his status as the Toronto Maple Leafs "agitator" in the eyes of fans.

Ridly Greig has been one of the most controversial opposing players in the past few years through the eyes of Toronto Maple Leafs fans, who have taken exception of the Ottawa forwards antics on the ice.
Greig has been a common source of animosity among the provincial rival Leafs, whether intentionally or not, with the most famous example of his antics sowing anger is his famous empty-net slapshot in which he faced retaliation for the move from Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly.
The intensity has boiled over into the playoffs, with Leafs Captain Auston Matthews breaking Greig's stick after it got lodged into Toronto's bench during Game 1.
In Game 2, the heat got turned up even higher as netminder Anthony Stolarz got physical with Greig, pushing the Sens winger as he was in front of Stolarz in the crease area.

Ridly Greig's Comments On Rivalry Between Himself And Leafs

While it seems there is continued bad blood between the Leafs towards Ridly Greig, the drama isn't bothering Greig all that much.
Speaking to reporters, Greig said the scuffle was "just a nice battle in front of the net, that's about it."
Greig had said the battling between him and Stolarz was just the two competing, something the 22-year-old says he loves about playing the game.
But he did mention that while the commentary surrounding him is less than pleasant, he's not paying too much attention to the chatter:
I don't spend too much time on social media so I could care less.

As well, Greig praised the intensity and competitiveness between the Senators and Leafs, saying the series has had a strong energy, and that he's excited to be taking that fight back to Ottawa.
Greig is currently not skating with the Senators at practice, but is expected to be active for Ottawa tonight at home for Game 3.
Ottawa will be looking to use their home advantage to come back down 2-0 against the Leafs in the series.
Greig has a goal so far in the series against Toronto, and will look to bring both the offense and his usual intensity to look for a much needed win against the Leafs.
