Tinus Luc Koblar has played over 100 minutes in the SHL this season. This has led him to being offered a rookie contract which he has now signed.
The team announced the contract on social media, and it seems like he has endeared himself to the Leksands fans with his physical nature and relentless energy.
Leksands GM Praises Koblar's Physical Edge and NHL Potential
Leksands GM Thomas Johansson was thrilled to have signed Koblar and envisions a bright future for the young forward:
Great to continue working with Tinus and help him further his dream goal of the NHL. Tinus has a good sense of the game, he is extremely skilled in the game without the puck and likes to use his body physically.
I also like his competition and bullishness on the ice. Tinus will have a bright future and it will be exciting to see where this season goes but also another summer and further steps into the 2026/27 season.
Last season with Leksands' J20 team, he posted 21 points in 43 games (8 goals, 13 assists) and is one of several Norwegian rookies who have come up through the ranks and emerged as potential stars including Detroit Red Wings rookie
Michael Brandsegg-Nygard.
While Koblar is still a ways away from making his mark with the Maple Leafs, it looks like they have a potential stud on their hands, and he's just starting to come into his own at merely 18 years old.
