The Toronto Maple Leafs officially unveiled their 2025 Training Camp roster with the names you would expect, as well as several of their very promising youth players.
However it was a question of who got the invite this year, and now we can definitively say who's making an appearance.
Here's a closer look at who made the cut for all three groups: forwards, defensemen and goaltending.
You've got a great mix of players who are clearly going to make the team, some fringe candidates who could surprise some and also a few of their young, raw prospects who earned the shot thanks to the Prospect Showcase.
What the Maple Leafs' 2025 Training Camp Roster Reveals About the Team's Direction
But it's also great to see
Easton Cowan and Jacob Quillan get a shot as they are close to making the jump, you've got a chance to see a ton of extra depth and future Marlies stars like Bo Groulx, Ben King, and
Ryan Tverberg.
The most interesting thing is how so many of the NCAA signings from last season also got the call including Gunnarwolfe Fontaine (arguably the coolest name in hockey) as well as former collegiate standout Luke Grainger.
It shows that the new contingent in charge of the Maple Leafs isn't afraid of giving the young players a chance to prove themselves and unlike times in the past, are actually hedging their bets on the future instead of dealing it away.
Craig Berube
wanted an intense competition at camp and he surely is going to get it, as there are a lot of hungry players who are on the cusp of solidifying their place in the lineup and will stop at nothing to make it.
So as we soak in that hockey is back, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Toronto Maple Leafs are ready for whatever comes their way.
