A new report from James Mirtle indicates that the Toronto Maple Leafs have a 50/50 shot at landing top remaining free agent Jack Roslovic.

According to Leafs reporter James Mirtle, the Leafs have a split chance at acquiring Jack Roslovic, the top free agent left in the 2025 class of unsigned players, and to the Leafs benefit his cost does not appear to be too significant for Toronto.
Per Mirtle's article, Roslovic could end up in Toronto, but it's up to the Leafs front office if that's an area the team would wish to pursue.
Toronto is still looking for a top-six replacement for Mitch Marner, having passed up on potential options on Day 1 of free agency, and still evaluating potential trade options that could improve the roster.
Despite the potential of higher end talent via a trade, the price of Jack Roslovic may be something very appealing for the Toronto Maple Leafs as Mirtle reports that Roslovic's contract is likely to go around $2.6-2.85M in his next deal.

Jack Roslovic's Contract Could Be A Massive Steal For The Toronto Maple Leafs

With many of the top free agents signed, and Roslovic the big remaining player left standing, getting him for potentially under $3M is a valuable move that would provide Toronto a real offensive punch they are looking for.
There's no indications that Roslovic is something the Leafs are pursuing, but it would be foolish not to consider what is a bargain contract for someone with top-six potential.
Roslovic had 22 goals and 39 points this season in 81 games for the Carolina Hurricanes, someone who could play on the Leafs second line.

Why Toronto needs Jack Roslovic

The move would be beneficial for Toronto, who have just under $5M in available cap space and would potentially need to move a player out to balance out a trade both in the financial and roster sense.
Roslovic would be sensible in adding a cheap forward who can be a top-six forward, but a trade appears to still be likely as the Leafs already have 14 forwards under contract as well as Nick Robertson, who has filed for arbitration and could still return to Toronto.
As a Marner replacement, Roslovic won't be replicating the now-Vegas forward's offensive caliber, but can take on his spot as a top-six forward, either on the first line or on the second line with William Nylander moving up alongside Auston Matthews.
The decision on what the Toronto Maple Leafs will do with their forward group will likely mean both additions and subtractions, and will continue juggling their roster.
Brad Treliving hopes it will be able to make up for the loss of Marner, regardless of how the offseason ends up in terms of their roster having managed to build the Leafs a winner.
