A new report reveals that Nick Robertson's future as a Toronto Maple Leafs appears it has finally been answered.

For years, rumors have persisted about a potential trade involving Nicholas Robertson and being moved out, once being described as a player who could be a key prospect in a return for immediate help to the Leafs roster, now a player who could use a change of scenery.
Despite finally breaking into the Leafs lineup after being on the cusp of his chance for the last few years, Robertson found himself scratched in the Stanley Cup playoffs, showing thar still his place in Toronto's lineup hasn't been fully affirmed.

Nick Robertson staying in blue and white

A report from insider Chris Johnston reveals that after years of trade rumors, it seems that Toronto is finally holding on to Robertson, presenting him the chance at staying a Leaf.
At this point in time, I think the Leafs are probably going to hold on to Robertson. We'll have to see.

I mean, Toronto is a team that is looking for help, obviously in the top-six, something Brad Treliving discussed after free agent day on July 1st, and so, you know I can see them making other moves that have trickle down effects.

Whether it's Nick Robertson, or Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf, who both received signing bonus payments in July and so they actually have less salary owing than their cap hits.

Nick Robertson Poised For Real Chance With Leafs, Or Elsewhere

It appears that finally Nick Robertson is at a point in his career to hold down a full-time NHL roster spot, but if that will be with the Toronto Maple Leafs remains to be seen.
Having filed for arbitration, the process will reveal what the Toronto Maple Leafs view to be Robertson's value, and how closely their estimation of him reflects his own.
While it seems clear the Leafs as they stand gives the benefit to Robertson this upcoming season will be the done that brings him to a proper place in Toronto's lineup, more moves could signal him once again being on the inside looking out, and potentially spark the trade that for years has been discussion.
In limited minutes, Robertson has shown promise and succeeding in his third-line role, but faces setbacks as an undersized forward at 5'9, with smaller players not being very popular among Brad Treliving and his value on size.
He also only had 22 points this season, though set a career high with 15 goals.
Next season could be key to the future of Nick Robertson and if he has a place in the Toronto Maple Leafs, because there are many teams willing to take the chance on a potential breakout player in Robertson.
