Marner, who has reportedly expressed his own desire to remain in Toronto for next season to play out the rest of his current contract, does have a small number of teams he is willing to potentially waive for if a deal can be reached.
According to 'The Fourth Period', there are four known teams that could potentially be in play for Marner that he'd be willing to agree to, those teams being the Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, Vegas Golden Knights & Nashville Predators.
David Pagnotta, who has reported Marner's potential trade options, says that he doesn't see Chicago as a fit, although the move is appealing to add a talented offensive winger next to Connor Bedard.
Pagnotta says there may be a few other potential options as well. Cap space will be the big focus in talks with Marner making $10.9M next season.
Pagnotta also debunked a rumor that surfaced online linking Marner to Utah, saying the team was upset by the false post that spread on social media.
Marner, who is entering the final year of a six-year contract with Toronto, had 26 goals, 59 assists & 85 points in 69 games for the Leafs this past season.
