Maple Leafs vs. Panthers Second Round Start Date Officially Revealed

It's not going to be the easiest time for the Toronto Maple Leafs against Florida, but the home-ice advantage and different style of play could be the factor that pushes Toronto past the reigning champs and into the Eastern Conference Finals with a good chance of making the Cup Finals.

But they have to beat the Panthers first, and that's no easy feat. It's going to make for some extremely entertaining hockey, with the likes of Brad Marchand and Matthew Tkachuk trying to make life miserable for Toronto while they are looking to set the tone and take care of them once and for all.

The big question though is when are these two actually going to start playing? There's only a couple games left in the first round, and there is a very good chance for the team to get an extra day off in preparation.

Sources claimed that the first game of the series would take place on Monday, May 5 and we can now confirm the actual start date of the second round for both teams.

it seems we have out answer as the Panthers and Maple Leafs will square off in the first game of Round Two on Monday, May 5, with the puck scheduled to drop at 8pm ET.

It's going to be a primetime game no doubt, and there's a good thing that the team isn't under the Prime Video restrictions as they were in the regular season, as fans would not be impressed with the terrible decision to withhold the game from most of their diehard fans.

It's unknown what the lineups are going to look like, or who the starters are but with the game set to take place in a couple of days, there's a good chance that once practice hits on Saturday or Sunday we'll know pretty much everything going into Game One (barring any drastic changes).

We don't know how the series is going to play out, but it's presumed with a Monday start, the team is going play every other day; Wednesday, Friday, Sunday etc. However, they may afford an extra day in order to give both teams the Saturday night slot.

But as of now, Monday is going to kick off round two for the Panthers and Maple Leafs, so be prepared for what's sure to be the first game of some very intense hockey.
