If the Maple Leafs can get through the Florida Panthers on Sunday night, it sets them up for a Conference Finals against Carolina, with a potential schedule revealed.

With Game 7 set to be the most important game of the Auston Matthews era, the Maple Leafs are looking to send the reigning Stanley Cup Champions home frustrated meanwhile they set themselves up with a series that could very well end in their favor.
While the team still needs to secure a victory, if they were to do so then they meet the Carolina Hurricanes in the Conference Finals.
But if all things were to fall into place, when does that pivotal series start?
We have our answer.
If Toronto advances, then Game 1 would take place from Toronto on Tuesday night, giving the Maple Leafs only a day of rest to get prepared after a very tough and injury riddled series.

Conference Finals Schedule Leaves Toronto Minimal Rest Time

All games have been scheduled as well for 8PM ET as opposed to the typical 7/7:30PM start times, and gives the series a primetime feel. The rest of the games follow a typical schedule, with alternating days off and no two-day breaks.
That's a tad unfortunate for the Maple Leafs considering they are dealing with some pretty significant injuries that will affect the Conference Finals if they are out.
No word yet on when Anthony Stolarz or Matthew Knies will be back, and that puts Toronto's Cup hopes in serious jeopardy if they're absent.
Carolina however, will have five days off after eliminating the Capitals on Saturday, dominating them to then tune of a 4-1 series victory.
They have gotten some pretty fantastic output from their veterans like Taylor Hall and Shayne Gostisbehere, but also youngsters Seth Jarvis and Andrei Svechnikov and Toronto can't take them lightly if they advance.
The Leafs will need to emulate the Hurricanes production and get more consistent goal scoring from guys like Auston Matthews; who may have got the monkey off his back and is set to start scoring more.
Toronto held the season advantage with a 2-1-0 record, while scoring 13 goals but giving up 10, so it has the potential to be a high-scoring series, but both goaltenders are going to need to be on their heels at all times.
That's good news if they are to make it through, but that's still a tough task. Much like Toronto in Game 6, Florida is going to be hungry and motivated to head back, so it's not a foregone conclusion.
But if they are able to push through the reigning champs and set up a date with the Hurricanes?
That seems like a storm they can weather, and find themselves staring off at either Dallas or Edmonton in the Stanley Cup Finals.
