The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that their Fan Access portion of their official Android and iOS app could involve fans walking away with some big prizes.
There has been a staunch effort from the Maple Leafs this season to make sure that fans are given more of a behind the scenes experience when it comes to the goings on with the team, and we've already seen the positives.
Getting to see the human side of these players,
the addition of Ryan Leslie to the broadcast side has opened things up to give fans a sneak peek at some of their favorite stars, and it's all in an effort to make the team more relatable and fan-centred.
What Leafs Nation Can Expect From Fan Access
Well they are keeping it going, and while they have their official app that gives fans the knowledge about all the latest news, events, and media regarding the team; they are sweetening the pot this year it seems.
Officially announced on X, the team revealed that the app and Fan Access is live, which gives fans the chance to earn free tickets, merchandise, jerseys, and exclusive content among other things.
Users who wish to be a part of the experience can download the app for free on the Google Play Store or App Store and requires a sign-up in order to participate.
While it's unclear what else might be added to the Fan Access portion of things, those who keep notified will be first to know of any new giveaways or events regarding the Maple Leafs.
Why the Maple Leafs Are Investing in Fans This Season
Fan experience has always been a core part of the sporting world, and teams are often praised or ridiculed for how they treat their loyal denizens.
Toronto has arguably the most rabid and polarizing fanbase in the NHL, and are often criticized for being too flaky, too defensive, or too critical; but the management sees otherwise.
What they look at is undying passion and dedication, and after years of disappointment; a new era has begun and it doesn't just involve moving on from
Mitch Marner.
There's a clear focus on the fans and making sure they are not only part of the team, but also able to score themselves some freebies and not needing to part with a month's mortgage payment to watch a game.
It also coincides with
William Nylander and his brand new Youtube channel which is also giving fans insight into his day to day life with the team on an off the ice.
This is seemingly just the start of the Toronto Maple Leafs' plan to make sure fans are more involved, more entertained, and even more dedicated than they are already.
If how Toronto approaches this year is more fan-centric, you can expect much more to come when the regular season kicks off.
