An insider revealed that the Vegas Golden Knights have shown interest in Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner.
With the Leafs possibly looking to make major trades in the offseason, all eyes are on Mitch Marner as he could be one of the assets involved in a deal.
There's been a lot of rumors about trade scenarios in recent weeks, but this new development comes straight from the insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
According to him, the Golden Knights are interested in Marner.
If the Golden Knights want to add a player like Marner on their roster, they'll need to trade players with big salaries.
With the Leafs needing defensemen to bolster their blue line, we wouldn't be surprised to see a player like Shea Theodore involved in the deal.
Theodore, 28, scored 42 points in 47 games this season, but in seven playoff games, he failed to add his name to the scoresheet.
The defenseman has one season left on his $5,200,000 AAV contract, and he'll probably be asking for a raise in the negotiations for his new deal.
