The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without captain Auston Matthews for the next few games, according to multiple reports.

Auston Matthews will be unavailable for Toronto while expected to miss at least a week, according to TSN's Chris Johnston.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Leafs will be without Matthews for «a couple of games», but noted that he injury does not appear to be serious.
Matthews left Tuesday's game against the Boston Bruins with what the team said to be a lower-body injury. Matthews left shortly after a hit from Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov, but the team hasn't concluced if that incident is what caused Matthews to leave the game.
Matthews has nine goals and 14 points in 17 games for Toronto this season, a hole on the Leafs top-six that being filled as of right now that hasn't been outlined.

What the latest reports indicate about Matthews' timeline

Auston Matthews will miss at least a week, although the exact timeline for his return at this point is not known.
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is expected to provide an update on Matthews' status with additional information after practice concludes later this morning.
Matthews is one of two Leafs players who are currently away from the team as goaltender Anthony Stolarz is absent for Toronto, having been injured in the same Boston game as Matthews.
Stolarz is out with an upper-body injury, with goaltender Artur Akhtyamov recalled from the American Hockey League earlier today, the Leafs announced.
With Matthews expected to miss at least a week, a return could set him up for next Thursday against Columbus, or the game after against Montreal, the start of a six-game road trip for Toronto.
