Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube didn't hold back when discussing how he felt Joseph Woll's performance was after the Game 3 loss to the Florida Panthers.

It wasn't the result the Maple Leafs wanted on Friday night, coming away with a 5-4 OT loss to the Panthers thanks to Brad Marchand's winner. Toronto outplayed them all night, but it was Florida ending up getting the luck to go their way.
Joseph Woll had a tough game, but not for any fault of his own. Multiple times di he find himself with a goal against him due to the puck careening off several bodies; unfortunately that of his teammates.
He did his best to keep them in the game down the stretch, and even though the Maple Leafs couldn't pull it out; it was still a respectable game.

Joseph Woll Was Perfectly Fine; But Can Toronto Afford That?

But how did Craig Berube feel about things? With all the talk about who should start in Anthony Stolarz's absence, and the switcheroo with Matt Murray and Dennis Hildeby; did Woll look up to par?
According to the bench boss yes, for the most part:
I didn't love the fourth goal, but other than that, he was fine.
Fine isn't the best word choice to give fans hope for a series win, and it makes the disappearance of Stolarz due to injury sting even more.
He was pounded with shots all night, but had the unfortunate luck of seeing two Florida goals bounce off his own players, making his stats look even worse than they are.
While it did look like a deflection caused the puck to sneak into the five-hole, Woll needs to do better at blocking those especially without a huge screen in front of him.
It's more than likely he will be trusted to man the net in Game 4 however the Maple Leafs should genuinely think about giving Matt Murray a look; he's been in this situation before and while Woll is good later on, the team needs help all game long.
Heading into Game 4 there are going to be a lot of questions about whether or not Joseph Woll will play again, or if it's time to give someone else a look.
Hopefully whatever answers we come to are the ones that lead Toronto to a victory down in Sunrise, and he plays a bit more than simply "fine."
