Craig Berube Drops Major Hint On Max Pacioretty's Status for Leafs Upcoming Playoff Run

Max Pacioretty has been out for the Toronto Maple Leafs since the end of February, having been placed on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury.

Since then, Pacioretty has been placed on long-term injured reserve, making it unclear if the 36-year-old would return to the Toronto Maple Leafs roster this season or not.

Pacioretty had previously missed time earlier in the season due to an upper-body injury that had kept him out of games, and once again has found himself away from the Leafs roster for the time being.

Now, Leafs head coach Craig Berube is shedding some light on the status of Pacioretty, and if fans will see him suit up for Toronto again this season.

Craig Berube was asked about the status of Max Pacioretty, and whether or not he appears likely to play in the playoffs for Toronto.

Berube expressed confidence with the idea that Pacioretty should be able to return to the Leafs lineup by then, and made it appear likely that Pacioretty will be back for Toronto by the time the postseason rolls around.

It would seem uncertain that Pacioretty would return to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the regular season, and he may be rested to go come playoff time, giving Toronto a weapon ready for game one of the finals.

Getting Pacioretty back will be key for the Toronto Maple Leafs who will want the offensive spark he has provided, necessary for a bottom-six needing offensive pressure.
