Brady Tkachuk Fires Back at Leafs Fans After Being Mocked in Game 1

The first game of the Battle of Ontario was one for the ages. Starting off hot, the atmosphere felt like it was the early 2000s. Fans were wild, the aggression and intensity was off the charts, and it set the stage for an entertaining series that will no doubt be the first round matchup to watch.

Toronto came through with a 6-2 victory after three power play goals and a collective team effort that saw not only the Core Four show up in spades, but saw the secondary pieces get in on the action as well. It was a statement game that could set the tone for the rest of the series.

Brady Tkachuk wasn't too pleased given that he lost the game, but it wasn't just the Maple Leafs players giving him the business.

The Scotiabank Arena faithful serenaded Tkachuk with chants of "Brady Sucks!" and the Ottawa forward shared how he felt about those fans post-game:

To be fair to Tkachuk, he kind of has to ignore things if he wants any type of success, and though he can do whatever to try and block it out; there's no doubt he's a bit rattled considering that Tkachuk took a penalty and was held pointless in the game.

Toronto has to keep playing the way they are playing though, and that should frustrate Tkachuk more than enough.

The team was elite in drawing penalties against the Senators and if they can keep Ottawa flustered and bait them into bad calls, then it's going to be pretty easy for the team this season.

Luckily for Tkachuk and the Senators, they will still have the services of Ridly Greig who is not receiving any additional punishment for his cross check on John Tavares, and though the end of the game was as chaotic as it could be, the NHL has let things slide due to the intensity of the playoffs.

But if the Maple Leafs come out just as strong in Game Two and take a commanding lead in the series, then unfortunately for Tkachuk he is probably going to start having to give a you know what; regardless of what fans are saying.
