Update (Nov. 8, 2025, 9:32pm): The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that forward Scott Laughton would not be returning to the game after taking the hit from Nikita Zadorov.

It's a tough break for Laughton who just returned against the Utah Mammoth after missing a month with a lower-body injury.
Nikita Zadorov rocked Toronto's Scott Laughton, which sent Bobby McMann into a frenzy, as he dropped the gloves with the Bruins defenseman as the crowd erupted.
It's not the game the team hoped for, going down 4-2 to the Boston Bruins and causing Anthony Stolarz to be pulled for the first time as a member of the Maple Leafs, but you can't blame the team for trying to spark the team.
After Nikita Zadorov dumped Scott Laughton with a hard yet clean hit, it was forward Bobby McMann who decided not to mess around and stuck up for his teammate by dropping the gloves with the defender:
Laughton left the bench for the dressing room to be evaluated, and both McMann and Zadorov were given majors for fighting.
It was an unfortunate turn of events for Laughton, who had just returned from injury earlier this week after missing the beginning of the regular season with a lower-body injury caused by a blocked shot in the preseason.
For McMann and the Maple Leafs, it shows that they aren't going to mess about anymore when it comes to any of their players being roughed up, and to see McMann; a player who rarely fights, get himself involved is a great sign towards the team's unified attitude.
Zadorov on the other hand is no stranger to fighting, and though McMann put up a good fight, there is not much you can do against a 6'7, 225-pound monster like the Bruins defender.
There is no word yet on whether or not Laughton is going to miss the remainder of the game however we will be sure to update you as soon as we have the information.
