The Maple Leafs will try to have a deeper playoff run in the coming season, and they'll probably need to make a few last-minute additions at the trade deadline.
Two Players Treliving Should Go After

Tanev
Chris Tanev, 33 years old, is a defenseman currently playing for the Flames.
He has said it many times: Treliving needs to add toughness to his blue line, and the key could be in Calgary.
Tanev would be a great addition who could play a similar role to Luke Schenn in the last playoffs.

In Case of Emergency...

Hellebuyck
If things don't work out with either Ilya Samsonov or Joseph Woll, which would be surprising, Connor Hellebuyck would be a perfect player to rely on.
The cost would be high, but they would secure a top goalie who could almost guarantee a long playoff run.
