Three Teams Trying To Poach Leafs Coach
Leafs assistant coach Spencer Carbery has garnered a lot of league-wide interest of late with 3 intriguing looking at him as a head coach option.
Teams Trying To Poach Carbery
Spencer Carbery has been moving up the coaching ranks for years now having started as an ECHL head coach in 2010 to now looking towards becoming an NHL head coach in 2023.
Carbery is a very talented coach and should be the Leafs' top candidate if they were to fire current head coach Sheldon Keefe.
On the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman revealed the teams potentially looking to hire Carbery:
These three teams are all looking for a new head coach and most likely one will pick Carbery up. Anaheim is a young team looking to establish a new dynasty and will likely be the team to consider Carbery the most.
New York and Washington are already competitive and if they believe Carbery can establish a winning culture in their locker rooms, they will likely pull the trigger on signing him.
