The Toronto Maple Leafs summer has been a busy one, as they've added Max Domi, Tyler Bertuzzi, John Klingberg and Ryan Reaves, but one thing they didn't do was replace the veteran presence of Ryan O'Reilly down the middle.

A Ducks veteran

Now, The Hockey Writers have revealed three perfect trade targets for Toronto during the 2023-24 season, and one stands out among the rest: the Anaheim Ducks' Adam Henrique.

The 33-year old has been a consistent performer over the past few years, and given the Leafs lack of major assets that they're willing to part with, Henrique may be the most affordable option.

A cheap replacement

The 830 game veteran is an Ontario native, and over the past few years, he's been incredibly consistent, with 42, 43, 21, 42 and 38 points over the past five seasons.

While the Leafs could also look to target additional help on the blue line, Henrique is a veteran from Ontario, who has played well on a bad team, and if he could be paired with a few of their younger names on the third line, he could be a major asset for Toronto.
