After a long summer of many additions and few losses, the Toronto Maple Leafs are gearing up to battle the Montreal Canadiens in their home opener, and now, the last puzzle piece has been added to this roster.
While many expected one of the Maple Leafs key prospects to steal a spot on the fourth line, now, it appears that
Noah Gregor, who signed a PTO with Toronto this summer will take that spot when the puck drops on the 2023-24 season.
A group that's ready for a big year
After finally getting the first-round curse off their back last season, the Maple Leafs have done a great job of adding to their roster, and even in a very deep Eastern Conference, it appears that they're ready to take the next step this season.
Ultimately, Gregor, who has scored 18 goals and 40 points over his past two seasons won't be the difference maker for the Leafs, but if he can contribute with some key moments and play consistent hockey on the fourth line, this is a team that can beat anyone in the East.
