The Toronto Maple Leafs have had a good start to the 2023-24 season, with a 3-2-0 record through their first five games, but apparently it's not enough to stop Sheldon Keefe tinkering with this talented forward group.
Even more changes
Due to struggles from a few players, the Leafs have made a few moves already this season to their lineup, and now, even after an impressive 4-3 comeback victory over Tampa Bay.
The forward group has tallied 19 goals in five games thus far, but with things not clicking over their past three games (six goals over that time), Keefe decided more changes were necessary.
An interesting set of moves
At the Leafs latest practice, it has been noted that all three of their top lines have now been changed, with Tyler Bertuzzi heading to the second line, Matthew Knies dropping to the third line and Calle Jarnkrok moving alongside Marner/Matthews, giving them this look ahead of their next game.
With over 75 games still left to be played, there's much time for Toronto to settle in to their lineups, and with the likes of Fraser Minten and Nick Robertson still waiting in the wings, this team has the depth and talent to go a very long way in 2023-24.
