The top Russian league, KHL has been growing with former NHL players as the years have gone on.
It has even produced some elite level talent from Russia that have made their way over.
The league has continued to grow and has been turning into a league where players that don't make the cut in the NHL go over to Russia and play there.
KHL Signs 2 Former Leafs
The KHL announced today that they have signed Jeremy Bracco and Pontus Aberg.
Jeremy Bracco was once a good prospect for the Leafs but got caught up in a scandal that saw him leave the NHL.
Last year in the LIGA Bracco played 59 games and collected a total of 40 points.
Pontus Aberg has agreed to a new contract in the KHL where he will be once again playing along side of Bracco.
Aberg has played one season with the Marlies where he tallied 44 points in 55 games.
