What Could The Trade Involve?
While Eklund believes JG Pageau is involved, there certainly has to be more. We could see the Islanders include some top assets like their 2024 1st-round pick, or defenseman Noah Dobson.
While we do not know exactly what will be heading to Toronto if this trade happens, it will certainly make waves around the NHL.
Any Nylander trade would almost guarantee that Auston Matthews would be signed soon and it would show the Leafs commitment to him as their franchise piece.
