Maple Leafs Make Significant Announcement About Captain John Tavares
Tavares Reaches Impressive Milestone Against His Former Team
John Tavares reached an impressive milestone a few days ago.
He scored his 1000th point in the NHL, against the team that drafted him, the New York Islanders.
Isles fans were criticized by the entire hockey community following that great achievement for how they booed him during the celebration of his 1000th point.
Now, the Maple Leafs have made a major announcement concerning the captain.
Toronto Maple Leafs to Honor Tavares With Pre-Game Ceremony
Reporter Luke Fox shared that the Leafs will hold a special pre-game ceremony for their captain to celebrate his great feat.
"Maple Leafs will honour John Tavares for his 1,000th point at home in a pre-game ceremony Dec. 19, their next game versus the Rangers."
This will give Leafs fans an opportunity to show their love for Tavares, after the cold treatment he received in Long Island.
