Maple Leafs make roster changes as playoffs near

The Toronto Maple Leafs are preparing for the playoffs with a surprise roster switch, as a major player is set to return.

With Forward Ryan O'Reilly expected to rejoin for tomorrow's game against the Bruins, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has made changes to insert O'Reilly back into the lineup.

The Leafs practice lines, according to TSN's Mark Masters, has O'Reilly on the third line, along with Alex Kerfoot & Noel Acciari.

Calle Jarnkrok stays with Auston Matthews on the first line, but could easily swap with O'Reilly in the top six. Sheldon Keefe has in the past moved lines around before the playoffs to get a sense of how different players play with one another.

Luke Schenn inserts back into the third line, with Timothy Liljegren out of practice, partnering with Morgan Rielly, who falls to the third line. Jake McCabe moves to the first line with T.J. Brodie.

Ilya Samsonov is expected to start as well against the Bruins.
