Marner Not Happy About Sheldon Keefe's Latest Decision
In the final stretch of the season, as more and more teams clinch a playoff spot, it's not unusual to see star players being sidelined.
There are good reasons for a team to do so, such as minimizing injury risk or simply allowing players to rest, which benefits the athletes.
However, many players don't like it. They are true professionals and want to play.
That's the case with
Mitch Marner, who was sidelined Sunday night.

Marner Was Not Happy to Watch the Last Game From the Stands
Sheldon Keefe made the decision to rest three key players on Sunday: Mark Giordano,
Jake McCabe, and Mitch Marner.
There's a lot of talent on the Leafs' roster, and they can afford to rest some of their stars before the playoffs. Also, their playoff spot is secured, so these games don't really matter, statistically speaking.
Marner shared his thoughts about this after the game. As you can see, he wasn't really happy about Keefe's decision:
"It sucks... sometimes we got people in here that do all the stats and all the stuff, that I guess, that's what they're paid for and (they) make sure that we're trying to look at a bigger picture... definitely a tough one, but there's bigger things."
Marner is close to the 100-point marka milestone he has never reached in his career.
He tallied 97 points last year, and something tells us he may want to reach this symbolic mark.
Unfortunately for him, he has to accept his situation for the "bigger picture". It wouldn't be surprising to see him miss at least another game before the season ends.
