Fans Uncover Video of Max Domi Trashing the Leafs
It was announced last night that the Toronto Maple Leafs had signed Max Domi to a one-year contract worth around $3 million. Toronto fans rejoiced when they heard the news, as Domi's father, Tie, is a franchise legend.
Video Uncovered of Domi Taking Shots at the Leafs
After news of Domi's signing was released last night, a Montreal Canadiens fan posted a video of Max Domi from when he was a member of the Canadiens.
Domi said the following:
Yikes! That's not a good look for the newest member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Context is Important
This video was first posted by the Canadiens after they acquired Domi in exchange for Alex Galchenyuk. Domi was answering questions from Canadiens fans on Twitter and wanted to make his allegiances known.
Even with that context, Domi has been quite testy on the ice when playing against the Leafs. An incident from back in 2019 saw him call then Maple Leaf Kasperi Kapanen a "f*cking idiot" after Kapanen threw his stick at Jeff Petry.
It's safe to say that Domi has had a rocky relationship with the Leafs so far, but we're sure things will be different now.
