David Kampf's wife publicly criticizes Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe
Sheldon Keefe is once again under fire for a bad decision he took during last night's game.
Coach Keefe took the decision to bench the forward David Kampf. Obviously, it wasn't the right call to make. The Hurricanes scored two goals on four powerplay opportunities. Kampf is a PK specialist and could've prevented those goals.
But more importantly, it didn't just cost the Leafs' win, he ruined Kampf's chances to reach an impressive NHL record.
The Czech player had a 323 games streak, which ended last night. Kampf, one of the most appreciated players in the Leafs' locker room, is the latest victim of Keefe's poor decision-making.
His wife wasn't too happy about that and made a post on Instagram to send a subtle message to Keefe.
On Instagram, she shared the following story:
While she didn't call him out by name, it's clear that the post was shared to criticize Keefe's decision to bench him.
We don't often see players hit a big streaks nowadays. With injuries and the high level of competitiveness in the NHL, rare are the players who make it to 300 consecutive games.
