The NHL has unveiled their first 32 all-stars for this year and there was a notable omission from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
They have excluded William Nylander from the NHL All-Star Weekend in favor of Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews.
The NHL is announcing its first batch of all-stars where 32 players from 32 different teams are chosen to play. The Maple Leafs could have 4 or 5 all-stars but are currently only sending one, Auston Matthews.
Auston Matthews is the Leafs All-Star representative. (Not William Nylander)
This is a massive disrespect to Nylander as you can count on one hand the amount of games he has not had a point and is leading the Leafs in points. It is now up to a fan vote to get Nylander into the all-star game and hopefully the Toronto faithful are able to get him in.
