Auston Matthews Ties an Insane 30-Year-Old Leafs Record
Last night the Leafs played against the Hurricanes, sadly, they lost 5-3, but it was not due to a lack of effort from Auston Matthews.
Matthews ties a Leafs record
During the game, Matthews managed to tie a crazy single-game franchise record for shots on goal by shooting 15 shots on goal throughout the game. If the Leafs had been able to get to overtime, Matthews could have broken the record.
Matthews is now tied with the former NHL star Dave Andreychuk, who recorded 15 shots against the Jets on March 23rd in 1993.
As seen on Hockeyfeed - Matthews ties a 30 year old Maple Leafs record on Saturday night!
