The NHL recently came out with its top-100 players list, and to the surprise of Penguins fans and players, failed to mention Evgeni Malkin, even in the honourable mentions. His teammates weren't shy about sharing their displeasure with leaving Malkin off the rankings.
Not only did Malkin record 27 goals and 56 assists for 83 points last season, he has already gotten off to a hot start this year. The 37-year-old has scored 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 3 games for the Penguins so far this year.
