High Hopes in Pittsburgh Lead to Disappointment

The Pittsburgh Penguins made many great additions this summer. They find themselves in a better position than they have been in years. Now, it's time for them to perform, but things aren't going as well as they would like.
Yesterday, they suffered their second consecutive loss, leaving them with a 2-3-0 record.
Mike Sullivan, the Pens' head coach, wasn't too pleased with his team's performance against the Blues on Saturday night.
He conveyed a message to his players in his post-game comments.

Sullivan Sends a Strong Message to His Players

Sullivan wasn't afraid to vocalize what was wrong with their game.
Coach Sullivan: "We didn't play hard enough. We didn't play smart enough. We got what we deserved... We gave them way too many chances off the rush because we didn't play with the purpose that we need to have in the offensive zone, whether it be with the puck or without it."

If the Pens want to prove to the rest of the league that they're still competitive, they'll need to push harder than they currently are.
The season is young, but adjustments need to be made before it's too late.
With all the talent in the lineup, they should be one of the biggest threats in the NHL, and that's not what we're seeing right now.
If the Penguins continue to lose games, do you think Sullivan will be fired this season?
