During his tenure in Toronto, Maple Leafs fans got used to the quirks that make Kyle Dubas who he is, and now, it appears that Penguins fans are about to find out.
A new mandate
According to a recent report, Dubas has already made a new mandate for the organization, requiring goaltenders to wear white pads, as opposed to the freedom they're often given.
All of the Penguins goalies are wearing white this year, per instructions from management.
While it clearly looks good, this is a far cry from every other organization in the NHL, who's freedom for goaltenders allows them to bring out their creative side, and while they need to stick to their team colours, we've rarely ever seen something like this.
A playoff team?
With Tristan Jarry and Alex Nedeljkovic in net, this is a team that's got depth and talent at every position, and even in a stacked Eastern Conference, it appears they're ready for a big playoff run.
We saw what Dubas could do with the Maple Leafs, and while they never made a deep playoff run, his moves were great more often than not, and after making a blockbuster this summer already, it's clear he's putting his mark on the organization, and it could pay off in a big way.
