Flyers head coach John Tortorella has a reputation as being one of the most passionate coaches in the league. Yesterday that passion got him into trouble and today the full extent of that trouble was revealed.

Tortorella Suspended Two Games For Refusing To leave After Ejection

The coach was ejected from his game yesterday after he went on an expletive-filled tirade against the officials. He was especially made after his team went down 4-0 ten minutes into the game and he took that frustration out on the officials. While they gave him a bench minor for abuse of officials and ejected him from the game, he initially refused to leave. This has lead to him being suspended two games by the NHL front office.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was first to report the news.

Hearing John Tortorella has been suspended two games.

He also stated that he believes the officials should make a public statement about the incident so we can know what actually happened. The coach was also fined 50000 dollars.
