Tarasenko has split the last season with the St Louis Blues and New York Rangers collecting 50 points in 69 games played.

Senators Need

This deal would make sense for the Senators as they just traded away one of their best goal scorers in Alex DeBrincat to the Detroit Red Wings.
Their list of players they can use in their top six are:
Brady Tkachuk
Josh Norris
Claude Giroux
Tim Stutzle
Drake Batherson
Dominik Kubalik

The Senators will definitely get a much needed addition in a pure goal scoring threat that Tarasenko is.
Tarasenko is a six-time 30 goal scorer in the NHL, it is unknown what the contract will look like.
