After an incredible career that spanned 19 seasons with the Boston Bruins, long-time captain Patrice Bergeron officially announced his retirement, and has revealed plenty in his interviews since.

A Bruin through and through

In those 19 seasons, Bergeron played in 1,294 games for the Bruins, tallying an impressive 1,040 points, 6 Selke Awards and 1 Stanley Cup victory over that time with the team.

It's clear that he's a Bruin at heart, but in his latest interview, Bergeron revealed which jersey besides the famous 'B' would be the only one he wanted to wear throughout his career.

National Pride

Unsurprisingly, that jersey was the one of Team Canada, which he had the honour of doing several times throughout his illustrious career;

There is only one other jersey that I ever wanted to wear, and that is the Canadian jersey." Bergeron said.

He added, "Representing my country at the highest level - especially winning Gold in Vancouver and Sochi are also some of my proudest moments.

Given his success for Boston and Team Canada, it's safe to say that Bergeron accomplished everything he wanted in the NHL, and will go down as a great for both teams after his retirement.
