During his column on BPM Sports, Philippe Boucher, general manager of the Drummondville Voltigeurs, stated that, according to him, the agreement between the Montreal Canadiens and Cole Caufield is already signed.
When I see Pat Brisson, in the middle of this file, in the decision to have him operated on, in the choice of doctor, it confirms one thing to me, Caufield is already signed. They're going to wait to announce it to us, for the timing to be right, but Pat Brisson made sure [there was an agreement]."
"Cole Caufield can continue to play, it's not an injury that's preventing him from playing. But seeing all the players involved in this decision, certainly for me, Cole Caufield's contract, the agreements are already made." - Philippe Boucher
Boucher also says that the main lines are already written and it would only miss the commas to move.
File to follow.
