Marc-Andre Fleury joins NHL's elite circle of legendary goalies
Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has officially joined one of the most elite clubs of goaltenders ever as he has reached the 1000-game milestone.
Originally first overall drafted over two decades ago, Marc-Andre Fleury has become one of the best goaltenders of the modern era and has proved to show no signs of slowing down.
Today, the Minnesota Wild faced off against the Winnipeg Jets where Fleury and the future Hall-of-Famer reached an incredible milestone: 1000 career NHL games played. The feat has only been achieved by Fleury, Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, and Patrick Roy.
The NHL released a statement congratulating Fleury on joining this elite club.

He joins an exclusive club as the fourth goaltender to reach the milestone.
Fleury would unfortunately go on to lose his 1000th game as the Winnipeg Jets took down the Wild 3-2 with the Jets getting goals from Adam Lowry, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Dominic Toninato while the Wild were unable to beat Connor Hellebuyck.
