Florida Panthers having a tough time arriving in Edmonton, per source
In Florida, a massive rainstorm forced the Panthers to change their travel plans to Edmonton at the last minute.
As of now, almost zero planes are allowed to fly from South Florida, causing headaches for the Panthers and their fans looking to fly to Edmonton:
"Panthers fans trying to get to Edmonton are having a tough time this morning.
There are almost no planes being allowed to fly north or west from South Florida due to storms and FAA routing."
Unexpected delays frustrate Florida Panthers and fans en route to Edmonton for Game 3
The Panthers were set to fly at 1 pm to Edmonton ahead of the third game of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Oilers, but their travel arrangements had to change at the last minute.
Indeed, they are still set to arrive in Edmonton tonight, but nobody knows what delays to expect:
"Panthers' flight out of Florida has been delayed due to the massive rainstorm. They still plan to arrive tonight, just not sure how long the delay will be. #NHL"
If this goes on, the NHL could be forced to delay the game in Edmonton, giving additional time for players who have injuries to rest.
