Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand didn't mince words when he explained how his team fares against the Maple Leafs, who are on the brink of elimination.

Another playoff series, another chance for Brad Marchand to make life miserable for the Maple Leafs. He's done just that, constantly being a thorn in their side, and showing exactly why Florida picked him up at the trade deadline.
Though he admits the team is much different than in years past, there's no doubt that Florida is still outworking and outplaying them. On the ropes heading into Game 6, Toronto has everything to lose.

Toronto's Hunger For Bounce Back Game Scares Brad Marchand

That's a pretty scary scenario according to Marchand, as he relented that an angry and hungry Toronto team is not going to lay down for anyone:
If anything it's going to make them hungrier to have a bounce-back game and prove a lot of people wrong, which is a very dangerous combination.
Not only is Marchand correct in believing the Maple Leafs are hungry for a bounce back after nearly two straight shutouts, but it could define a legacy.
This is by far the best season Auston Matthews and company had for making a Stanley Cup run with the Core Four intact. His offensive absence coupled with a still struggling Mitch Marner hasn't helped Toronto whatsoever.
If he doesn't pick things up, it will almost undoubtedly taint his legacy and solidify his reputation as a regular season demon, but a non-factor in the playoffs. Marner will probably be gone, and where does the team go from there?
Defined by failure, often caused by Marchand's hands, is not the way anyone wants to go out, and the outrage and backlash from fans is going to be loud and constant for the coming weeks as another disappointing playoff run ends.
Though it may just be Marchand trying to give Maple Leafs fans false hope, the team is going back to what worked previously lineup wise, and they are hedging their bets on a team that has seen some ridiculously low production.
Their hunger is only going to be defined by how they come out in Game 6. Another lacklustre and apathetic performance will only solidify this team as a disappointment.
But a win coming out of Florida and heading home to a raucous and hungry crowd will no doubt be even more terrifying a proposal for Marchand and the Panthers.
