This Oilers veteran is facing some tough news with regards to this upcoming season.

Sam Gagner Facing Tough News for Upcoming Season



Sam Gagner is coming off surgery this offseason on both hips, and his return to the ice was highly anticipated. The Jets forward and longtime Oilers' veteran had hip surgery earlier this spring.

Sam Gagner who had surgery on both hips will only practise in camp and won't play games. In a PT0 He will be evaluated in a month and might go to Bakersfield




Gagner's Impressive NHL Career On Hold While Rehab Continues



Gagner has an impressive career as an NHLer, playing in over 1,000 games and recording 192 goals and 327 assists. The centerman has played the majority of his career in Edmonton, being their 6th overall draft pick in 2007.

Gagner had brief stints with the Coyotes, Flyers, Blue Jackets and Canucks before returning to Edmonton for two seasons in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

He then went to Detroit for three seasons before playing in Winnipeg for 48 games last year.
