Morgan Rielly Roasts Captain Tavares On Comments Concerning Connor McDavid

The Leafs are all set for their 4 game homestand, starting with a match against the Oilers. Leafs players were asked about defending and stopping Connor McDavid, the NHL's leading scorer. John Tavares, captain of the Leafs, commented that facing McDavid is "exciting".

Defending someone like McDavid is not necessarily exciting, I would consider it exhausting. Morgan Rielly would agree that it is exhausting... when he was told about his teammate's comment, he chimed in saying that





Rielly is speaking from experience regarding McDavid. A few years ago McDavid beat him badly before scoring what was considered the goal of the year.
