When the New York General Manager Chris Drury acquired Vladimir Tarasenko, and Patrick Kane many believed the Rangers were going to be unstoppable in the playoffs.
Unfortunately for Rangers fans that wasn't the case, as they were eliminated in the first round by the New Jersey Devils. This had many wondering, was that it for Kane in the Big Apple, and where could he end up being a pending UFA?
We know it won't be the Chicago Blackhawks after Kane made it clear with the media saying:
"They haven't even crossed my mind"
So we know Kane isn't going back to Chicago, but didn't rule out a return to New York. In fact Kane seems to want to stay, by his comments he shared with the media.
"I would love to be back. If I can feel better, with this team and this opportunity, I'd love that chance."

Kane also spoke highly of his time here and the team saying:
"I'm really thankful for the opportunity. I had a blast. It's a special group in here, I think they'll find a way to win."
We know Kane didn't get to give his all with the Rangers playing injured the entire time, and at 34 years old Kane will want to go to a team that could give him another opportunity at the Stanley Cup.
