Connor Bedard's rookie season comes with plenty of hype, and while he's been off to a good start, fans are now worried after the team demoted him down their lineup.
A worrying start
Despite posting four points in his first six career games, five of which came on the road, Bedard has now seemingly been demoted from the 1C role, with Lucas Reichel taking that spot.
According to a report from Blackhawks practice, Bedard, while still listed as the 1C is playing with Nick Foligno and Tyler Johnson, while Reichel is on a line with the far more dynamic Taylor Raddysh and Andreas Athanasiou.
Hall returning soon?
Fans have paid plenty of attention to this too, and the reaction on social media has been unsurprising, as Bedard is seemingly being babysat by two veterans rather than putting him with the best possible teammates.
Ultimately, when Taylor Hall returns from his latest injury setback, it's likely that Bedard will get much better linemates, but with Reichel's ability to play anywhere in the forwards, it just doesn't make sense to not have him and Bedard on the same line, so we will see how this develops going forward.
