In breaking news, Elliotte Friedman has just dropped a massive insight into what happened to Corey Perry in Chicago and his termination.

Eliotte Friedman Reveals How Corey Perry May Not Have Been Terminated If He Played for Another Team

Corey Perry has been laying low since he was terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks, issuing just one statement on social media about being terminated by the team. After making headlines due to his ability to return to the NHL this season, now Elliotte Friedman has just revealed a new insight into the termination.

There is definitely a feeling here that if this had happened on any other team (besides the Chicago Blackhawks) it might not of led to a contract termination» (regarding Corey Perry terminated contract with the Hawks)

We don't, and likely never will, know exactly what happened that caused Perry to be terminated by the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks, who have been trying to right their past wrongs in recent history, clearly made the decision to keep a tight run ship.

Now, there is new speculation regarding Perry and where he might sign to play out the rest of the season. He was immediately linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs in reports that there was mutual interest between the clubs.

We will see where Perry signs this season, if anywhere. The deadline for him to get a deal done is March 8th, the trade deadline day, to be eligible to play in this season's playoffs.
